Hi! My name is Louisa and I am the owner of Louisa’s Knit Knacks. Louisa’s Knit Knacks is the result from my insatiable desire to create! Ever since I can remember, I have been making, making, making! From construction paper to recycled bottles to yarn, fabric and tinfoil, my hands have always been busy doing something, and it hasn't been focused on one craft.
My passions really took off with knitting, and later I dove into the worlds of sewing, 3D Origami and quilling (amongst many others). With each new craft, I found myself seeking out a fundamental understanding of how to create things in that particular medium. I found myself fascinated by figuring out exactly how the loops of a knitted project wove together to create the unusual shapes that I wanted, rather than blindly following a pattern that I had no part in creating. On my quest to understand the full capabilities and limitations of each of the mediums that I use, I have created oodles of unique, quirky, and fascinating items as varied as the techniques I employ. This shop is the result of my desire to share the results of my adventures in art!
